A British Columbia bred, SPIRIT BAY , is by GAYEGO and was produced from his first crop sired while standing in Alberta.

Away sharply in the 6-1/2 furlong test, SPIRIT BAY duelled on the lead with Sheri Sugar Rush (also by GAYEGO) in good early fractions. Leading into the stretch, she held off a late charge to win by a half length, crossing the wire in a time of 1:18.93.

Bred in British Columbia by Embree Farms Ltd., SPIRIT BAY is by GAYEGO out of River’s Reach by Wild Wonder.

Consigned to the 2015 CTHS BC Yearling Sale, she was purchased by owner Dennis Tucker for $9,000.00. This was the first Win for SPIRIT BAY who was second last time out in the CTHS Sales Stakes. Her record is now 1-1-0 in 3 lifetime starts with career earnings of just under $70,000.00!

Congratulations to the winning connections!
